Stella Alpina Bed & Breakfast

April 12, 2011 by Jigsaw 3 Comments

Anneke and Carmelo were looking to update their B&B website, focusing on the alpine theme. They wanted to showcase their many photographs, giving guests a real sense of what Stella Alpina, and Canmore has to offer. Home cooking, beautiful wood carvings, and the benefits of Anneke and Carmelo’s local knowledge. They are avid outdoor enthusiasts, with a wealth of local knowledge. It was our goal to portray all this in the new site. Working closely together has resulted in a new site that has much of the character and charm of Stella Alpina. We opted for a bespoke design around the popular WordPress content management system to give them the versatility to be able to maintain and update content whenever they needed to.
Adding in some extra features to enable guests to check availability, and leave guest comments.

My parents contracted Louise Green to update our website, which had not been done in quite a few years. She didn’t just modify the code a little; she completely rebuilt it from the ground up. You can see the results for yourself – the website is now rich and colourful and is much more comfortable to look at. However that is only what you can see; what you can’t see is that Louise took quite a bit of time to teach me how to modify our website with the software she uses (WordPress) so that we know how to add pictures to galleries, make links, and even create new pages for the site from scratch. She has also been very approachable after the contract was over regarding further questions I had. I recommend her highly

Thanks so much Martino, I knew from speaking with you that you were technically minded and needed the functionality and independence to update your own content. It was clear the WordPress interface was an ideal content management system for you to use. It has been an interesting project to work on, and love the way you are able to showcase the many wonderful photographs you have.

It is not easy to create a design which pleases the client and at the same time atracts a certain clientele and in our case,
future (local & international) guests who look for accommodation in a Bed & Breakfast.
We thank Louise for all her ideas, her expert advise and patience. We learned so much from her and we can highly recommend her for a new or updating older websites.
    Thank you louise.
    Sincerly,
    Anneke and Carmelo.
